Three Suspected Flu Deaths in San Patricio County

Posted: Updated:
SAN PATRICIO COUNTY (Kiii News) -

There have been three deaths suspected to be caused by flu so far in San Patricio County, including a two-year old girl, according to San Patricio County Health Authority Dr. James Mobley.

The two-year old girl died Dec. 20, but the San Patricio County Health Department just confirmed Wednesday that she died of influenza.

The other two cases involved a 47-year old male and a 27-year old female. Health officials are still awaiting their test results to confirm whether or not they had the flu, but Mobley said they suspect them to be flu-related as well.

The Health Department is trying to distribute a flu vaccine and are urging residents to get it.
