CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Students at Del Mar College and TAMUK were back on campus Monday for the official start of the spring semester of 2014.

Students at Del Mar College's East Campus were trying to find their classrooms Monday, some stopping off at the Harvin Center's cafeteria to grab a bite to eat. Many said the first day was easy, but some found it hard to wake up so early for class.

"Getting up is kind of a struggle for me because I don't like mornings," Del Mar student Marissa Ramos said.

"You get there, it's overwhelming the first day, but you get everything together and you're great," Del Mar student Chastity Flores said.

"I was so used to sleeping in during the break, but I got up at eight this morning," Del Mar student Addie Lopez said.

"It's hard for me to get back to my sleeping schedule because I was up partying," Del Mar student John Bell said.

Other than the early morning hours, students said finding a parking space was their second battle of the day.
