ROBSTOWN (Kiii News) -

Monday was a busy day at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown, where the 79th annual Nueces County Junior Livestock Show is taking place.

While the livestock may be the main attraction, you can't forget about some of those delicious baked goods. All kinds of goodies could be found at the homemaking competition, from baked goods to arts and crafts.

Kids from elementary through high school compete for coveted scholarships. 3News spoke to one of the judges in the food category.

"I'm expecting to see talented young individuals, and I'm excited," Livestock Show Judge Martha Moseley said. "Hope it's really good."
