Driver Accused of Fatal Wreck in Kingsville Released from Jail

KINGSVILLE (Kiii News) -

We have an update on that deadly accident that killed a college student right outside the campus of Texas A&M Kingsville.

3 News has learned the driver accused of causing the crash is out of jail.

The accident happened Saturday morning on Seale Street in Kingsville. According to police the truck left the road, and crashed into a ditch. 20 year old Jaqueline Olivares was the passenger in that truck. She died on impact.

The driver, 21 year old Juan Severa ran from the scene but was later found by officers and arrested. According to the Kleberg County Jail, Severa has been released on a $15,000 dollar bond. Police say he is suspected of driving drunk, and was charged with a 3rd degree felony.
