City Looking to Residents for Ideas Addressing Litter Problems

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

In coming weeks, City staff plan to present options addressing litter to the Corpus Christi City Council, but first they want to hear from residents.

A community litter forum will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 22 in City Hall, and the City is asking that residents contribute their suggestions, ideas and solutions regarding litter. The forum will be televised and streamed online at www.cctexas.com.

After a short presentation by City staff, the forum will be devoted to hearing from residents. However, if you can't make it to the forum and still want to be heard, you can send your suggestions via email to ideaforum@cctexas.com, or you can mail a letter to the address below:

    Firefighters were called out Tuesday afternoon to the the Holiday Inn Downtown Marina, in the 700 block of Shoreline Boulevard.The entire hotel was evacuated and Corpus Christi police were dispatched to assist firefighters with traffic control. As of around 4 p.m., the fire was out and guests were allowed to return to their hotel rooms.Guests staying on the third and fourth floors of the hotel, which received the most smoke from the blaze, will be given new rooms according to hotel officials....More >>
