Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Sarah Acosta was live early this morning for Three News First Edition in Beeville and Skidmore Texas with update on road conditions during the freeze warnings.

TxDot also gave updates on road closures and which roads sand trucks were being sent out to de-ice the roads.

Early this morning, US Highway 181 bypass around Beeville was closed, bridges in Live Oak County iced over, US 183, US 59, and parts of I-37 near Mathis all saw ice on the roads.

The Harbor Bridge was closed at one point, and so was the flyover on Highway 77.

TXDot Officials urged people to stay home if they didn't need to be driving, especially those in the Northern counties of South Texas.

They said if you did have to drive to go very slow and if you found yourself in a skid to not slam on the breaks but to slowly let off the gas and steer the vehicle in the direction you want to go.
