Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

One Little League Organization is asking for help from the community after a tractor used to spread dirt on the field was stolen from their storage shed.

"It affects everybody. It affects our kids and families," said Robert Hight, President of the Oil Belt Little League. "We're looking for a safe place for our kids to play ball a safe and happy environment and for this to happen, it's unfortunate."

This is a picture of the tractor. Oil Belt Little League President, Robert Hight, tells 3 News it was stolen Thursday morning, January 23rd sometime between 5 and 7 a.m.

"At the end of the day we suffer, the kids suffer, the league suffers because everything is out of our pockets and nothing is coming from sponsorship and our registration forms."

Hight adds this is not the league's first theft. Someone also recently broke into the concession stand. If you have any information that can help, call either 244-4227 or 726-6348.
