Chapter AV P.E.O. is thrilled to announce its upcoming 20th style show & luncheon,
"Timeless Treasures – A Toast to Our Twentieth". The event will be held Saturday,
March 29, 2014 at the Corpus Christi Country Club,
In addition to the style show and luncheon, guests will have the opportunity to bid on
Silent Auction items. Guests are invited to arrive as early as 11:00 to view & bid on the
many unique and delightful items on display.
Tickets are available for $40.00 each. Tickets may be purchased from any Chapter AV
member, or by contacting Ticket Chairwoman Pam Hall at 361-877-3994 or
HallStars4@aol.com. Tables of 10 are available upon request.
P.E.O. is a Philanthropic Educational Organization that supports the education of women
through loans, grants and scholarships. Founded in 1869 by seven students at Iowa
Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, P.E.O. today has nearly 250,000 members in
chapters in the United States and Canada. There are four P.E.O. chapters in the South
Texas Gulf Coast Region. P.E.O. sponsors six international projects: P.E.O. Educational
Loan Fund, offering loans up to $12,000; Cottey College, a fully-accredited women's liberal arts
college in Nevada, MO; P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund, with
scholarships for international female students to pursue graduate study in the United
States and Canada; P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education, providing need-
based grants to women whose education was interrupted and who find it necessary to return
to school to support themselves or their families; P.E.O. Scholar Awards, which provide
substantial awards to women who are pursuing a graduate degree or are engaged in
graduate research at an accredited college and The STAR scholarship which is up to
$2500 for high school senior women to pursue a post - secondary education. P.E.O. also
supports two state projects: Texas Cottey College Scholarship Fund, grant money for
Texas women attending Cottey and Texas Star Oaks, a need-based grant for any Texas
resident needing assistance.
Proceeds from the March 29th Style Show and Luncheon will go toward supporting these
projects and education for women.
