Truck Hauling Crude Oil Gets Stuck in Leopard Street Ditch

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The driver of a big rig hauling crude oil got his trailer stuck in a ditch while turning into Woody's Truck Center on Leopard Street and Corn Products Road Friday morning.

It was around 9:30 p.m. when the driver failed to make a wide enough turn into the truck center. The back end of the trailer fell into a ditch and got stuck. Traffic was not impeded, and work crews quickly went into action to pull the truck out.

It took crews about an hour and a half to transfer the crude oil haul into another vehicle. When they were done, TNT Crane & Rigging were called in with a crane to pull the vehicle out. That took about 15 minutes.

Aside from a bent fender and a chewed up tire, no substantial damage was sustained by the truck.
