TxDOT Sends Out Crews & Equipment Following Winter Weather Advisory

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Due to the Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service, the Texas Department of Transportation has mobilized Personnel and equipment throughout 10 Coastal Bend counties.

TxDOT crews are monitoring several roadway in South Texas for ice, and have been in contact with local law enforcement to respond to hazardous conditions.

The intersection of US 77 and Interstate Highway 37 near the Nueces River and Labonte Park has been treated with de-icing material. Crews are along sanding the roadway in Sinton are reports of ice forming along US 181 and State Highway 89. TxDOT has also place crews at the base of the Harbor Bridge and along the US 77-IH 37 corridor from Robstown to the Nueces River.
