Thieves Steal 10 Catalytic Converters from Local Car Lot

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A local auto dealer is hoping police can track down the thieves who caused nearly $42,000 worth of damage to his car lot on Thursday.

The theft happened in the morning at the Sames Ford dealership in the 4700 block of Ayers. The general manager of the dealership told police that 10 catalytic converters were ripped out of new pickup trucks.

The catalytic converter is an emissions control device and is pretty expensive.
