Corpus Christi Idol Competitions Hold Tryouts this Weekend

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Corpus Christi Idol auditions this weekend at La Palmera mall benefiting scholarships for the TAMUCC Theatre and Dance Department.

Corpus Christi Idol and Junior Idol competitions will be Feb. 21-22 at the TAMUCC Performing Arts Center with the top 20 finalists from each category. The Junior Idol, ages 12 years and younger, will be Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. and Corpus Christi Idol, ages 13 and older, will be Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.

Auditions will be at La Palmera mall this weekend, Feb. 14-16 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

There is a $10 cash fee to audition. Tickets to the final performances cost $10 at the door. If you plan on auditioning, be prepared to sing a capella or provide the accompaniment of a musical instrument.
