Candidates Stress Platform Before Early Voting Ends

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Early voting comes to an end tomorrow. Statewide candidates are making their final push to gain your vote. Yesterday, Democratic Senator Candidate Dr. David Alameel visited Corpus Christi. Alameel is a former dentist in Dallas. He spoke with members of the Calvary First Baptist Church. Alameel is an immigrant who came to this country from Lebanon at 20-years-old. He says one of his campaign points is bringing home military on tours in Afghanistan.

"We've been there for 12 years and I think our military is spread very thin," said Dr. Alameel. "I think our economy is suffering. We need to invest in our own country."

Alameel is endorsed by Democrat Wendy Davis who is running for governor. The primary election is next Tuesday, March 4.
