CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Bond has been set at $3.1 million for a former U.S. Border Patrol agent indicted in a fatal shooting incident that began in Corpus Christi back in January.

Investigators say that Adam Garibay beat his estranged wife and forced her to identify the man he believed she was having an affair with back on Jan. 2. He then drove 160 miles to Hondo, Texas, where he allegedly shot and killed Keith Martin.

Garibay was captured following a chase. He remains in the Medina County Jail on murder, assault and evading arrest charges.
