Officers Bust Party After Crime Stoppers Tip of Underage Drinking

After receiving yet another Crime Stoppers tip of underage drinking, Corpus Christi police responded to a house party in the 400 block of Dixon Drive, where over a dozen minors were consuming alcohol.

According to police, those participating in the house party ranged in age from 11-20 years old. Officers issued citations to eight juveniles and took them home to their parents, and also arrested five other individuals.

Ronnie Berlin, 18, was arrested on a warrant for possession of marijuana; Michael Lara, 17, was arrested for consumption of alcohol by a minor; Markus Solis, 18, was arrested for consumption of alcohol by a minor; Arturo Villarreal, 17, was arrested for possession of alcohol by a minor; and Armando Ramon, 19, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court.

Police also issued a citation to a 20-year old woman who was released when her mother arrived at the residence after hearing about the party.

The five who were arrested were taken to the City Detention Center.

During the month of March, Crime Stoppers are offering a $250 reward to anybody who calls in a tip about underage drinking that leads to enforcement. Police say that since last Friday, they have received 19 Crime Stoppers tips of underage drinking, three of which resulted in arrests.
