Marines Collect Signatures on USO Banner at WOST Air Show to Send Overseas

KINGSVILLE (Kiii News) -

It was closing day of one the biggest events in South Texas!

The Blue Angels have been the biggest attraction and so has the C-130 also known as Fat Albert - which our own Meteorologist Alan Holt got to ride in on Friday!

The family friendly event has been taking place all weekend and has had such a great turnout.

Kiii is a proud sponsor of the event and while we were there at the air show we came across two active Marines who were showing their support for fellow Marines overseas, one signature at a time.

2nd Lt. Dirk Mosis with the US Marines said, "we're collecting signatures on this USO banner and it's been great so far."

2nd Lt. Matthew Morris said, "anytime you get something like this, it just let's you know that people appreciate you with little things like this."

We're told more than 100-thousand people experienced the event.
