CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut announced Monday they have reached a settlement with the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for $3.5 million.

The government said that from Feb. 7, 2008, to Sept. 8, 2011, Sikorsky failed to disclose accurate costs for spare parts that were used to repair Blackhawk helicopters at the Corpus Christi Army Depot.

According to a news release, "Sikorsky failed to disclose that it had lowered prices for certain parts, and as a result, the government paid excessive prices for those parts."
