LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A celebrity has dropped out of "Dancing With The Stars" over health concerns.

Billy Dee Williams was not eliminated in the usual way. On the advice of his doctor, he bowed out over a bad back.

"I've had a wonderful, brilliant, fantastic blast of a time," said Williams.

Williams danced as long as his body allowed.

"It's been a very special experience. I feel like I gave it the old college try," said Williams.

His dance partner, Emma Slater, says she has enjoyed their time together.

"I've really enjoyed the last five weeks that we've had. It's been mesmerizing. So, to me, I've completely made peace with that. It's the right thing to do," Slater said.

They can now cheer on the remaining nine teams, led this week by Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Guest judge Robin Roberts added her "10" paddle to their top score: 39 out of 40 for the Foxtrot.

"For me, personally, it felt like a 10 within myself. I felt like I enjoyed it so much and it felt like something I'll remember," said Davis.

Four teams tied for second place. All of them got quadruple nines from the judges. They know the bar has been raised.

"So many people are so good this season that I know that I have to work as hard as I possibly can and we have to make it as interesting and cool and entertaining as we possibly can," said Danica McKellar.

Derek Hough says everyone is dancing well this season.

"It's been such a great season so far. Everybody's at a high level, which just makes for a better show, I think," said Hough.

Pop star Cody Simpson is one point behind them. He's followed by Candace Cameron Bure, NeNe Leakes and Drew Carey.

"I have no dance experience, and I'm competing against Olympians, and they're just five points ahead of me, so I feel very good about my 31," said Leakes.

Next week is the "switch-up," which is when the stars dance with different professional partners.
