PORT ARANSAS (Kiii News) -

The 2013 AutoNation Saltwater Round-Up was a huge success, with more than 150 anglers participating to raise over $25,000 for the American Diabetes Association; and now you are welcomed to the next great tournament!

The AutoNation Saltwater Roundup 2014 is a one-day tournament designed for anglers of all ages and skill levels. The tournament will be held April 25-26 at the Robert's Point Pavilion in Port Aransas, and gives every angler a chance to win the grand prize without bringing in the most fish.

This is how it works. It is a boat or kayak tournament. Anglers must come and go by boat or kayak. There are two divisions -- a family division and a team division. The family division must consist of immediate family members and their spouses/kids. The team division consists of teams of up to four anglers. The team must fish from the same boat.

A kayak team consists of two-four anglers fishing within sight of each other. Each team and family may bring in three fish -- one redfish, one trout and one other (flounder, sand trout, black drum, sheepshead). The teams three fish will be their total weight.

There will be prizes for the top three in each division. In addition, there will be a pre-tournament reception and rules review on Friday, April 25, before the tournament. There will be dinner served on Friday at the reception and Saturday, April 26, at the weigh-in.

The tournament will be produced by Simrod Outdoors, the largest saltwater tournament production company in Texas.

Schedule of events:

Friday, April 25 - Registration 3-5 p.m.; Dinner 5:30-6:30 p.m.; Captain's Meeting, 7 p.m.

Saturday, April 26 - Tournament begins at daylight, communicated at the Captain's Meeting; Scales open, 2 p.m. (must be in line at 4 p.m.); Door prizes, 4:30 p.m.; Dinner, 5 p.m.; Trophies, 5:30 p.m.; Grand Prize drawing, 5:45 p.m.
