Crime Stoppers: Death Investigation of Eagle Pass Constable

Corpus Christi police need your help in the death investigation of an Eagle Pass constable that died in Corpus Christi on March 17.

A Corpus Christi police officer found 41-year old Jose Blanco sitting on the curb at Star Street and North Water Street in downtown Corpus Christi at around 10 p.m. Sunday, March 16. The officer reported that Blanco appeared confused and he only had his left boot on, and held a towel to wipe his face.

Blanco was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where his condition deteriorated and he died the next day.

Detectives are working to build a timeline of the last events of Blanco's life. He was a resident of Eagle Pass and was employed by the Maverick County Constable's Office. Blanco was a visitor to Corpus Christi at the time of his death.
