The suspect was able to flee the scene with a necklace and drove off in a Jeep.

Police were able to find out the description of the jeep and put out an alert for other officers to keep an eye open.

The vehicle was located along I-37 just before Mathis.

Police pulled the vehicle over and arrested 21-year old Gamaliel Altamirano Cancino. Police later found out, before the Jared robbery, the suspect was also involved in an assault.

Authorities received a call from a woman saying that her boyfriend assaulted her.

The woman told police that he choked her and threatened to tie her down.

The woman was able to get away by locking herself in the bathroom.

She claimed that her boyfriend took her purse and took her car as well.
