CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A barbeque benefit was held Sunday to help the family of a man who was shot and killed by his live-in girlfriend. Today, the fundraiser was held by friends and family of 52 year old Pete Molina, all to help with funeral costs. It was this past Thursday when Corpus Christi Police got a call that a woman shot her live-in boyfriend.

When they arrived, they found the victim, Pete Molina dead outside of his home.

Molina had been fatally shot at the home he shared with his girlfriend,41 year old Susan Salcido.

She in fact was the one who called police to say she had shot Molina.

Tonight Salcido remains behind bars charged with murder with a bond set at a million dollars.
