Unique Egg Hunt Held for Visually Impaired Youth and Adults

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

It's called the "Beeping Eggstravanganza," an Easter egg hunt for kids and adults who are visually impaired. It took place at BUC Stadium.

The eggs were actually built by the Corpus Christi Bomb Squad in order to help those who took part find them!

This all started after one of the guys from the bomb squad wanted to make some beeping eggs for kids who are blind.

This is a chance for the kids and adults to search for eggs with out competing against anyone.

They had a chance to be in their own lane, followed by a volunteer.

The kids would collect the eggs by following the noise. The event was put together by the Corpus Christi Police Department and the Lighthouse for the Blind.

Organizers hope that next year this event will be bigger and better.

This year they had at least 45 participants sign up.
