CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

It was raining Easter eggs on Monday as several thousand colorful eggs were dropped from a helicopter at Gloria Hicks Elementary School.

It was part of their Egg Drop, just in time for Easter. Students were able to participate in the traditional Easter egg hunt, designed Easter baskets and, of course, got to visit with the Easter bunny.

There was also one special friend who stopped by that isn't part of the tradition.

"He collected all the bears himself. He came in his panda suit and gave the students bears that he has collected over a period of time," Gloria Hicks Principal Norma Reyna said. "It was just so heartwarming."
