Police Respond to Reports of Shots Fired in Residential Neighborhood

Police were called into action Thursday morning after residents reported hearing several gunshots ring out in the 4400 block of Sequoia Street, near Gollihar and Weber.

The incident happened just after 9 a.m. According to police, several neighbors reported hearing a series of gunshots. However, police said they were not able to find any shell casings or damage.

"It scared me. Everyone has been here for years. It's an older neighborhood. Safe neighborhood," resident Dora Alaniz said. "For shots to be fired, it scared me for the safety of my neighbors."
