Crime Stoppers: Help Prevent Crime on Your School Campus

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - Crime can strike anywhere and at any time, even in the classrooms of our schools. That's why our local authorities are involved with the Campus Crime Stoppers program.

If you know something about a crime or someone bringing weapons to school, and you don't know who to tell, you can call the Corpus Christi Crime Stoppers. They never ask for your name, and instead, they give you a personal tip number. If your tip helps solve a crime, you can get a cash reward.

It's not okay to let crime go on in your school. Call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-8477, and to easily remember that number, it's 888-TIPS.

Also, you can get involved by volunteering for Campus Crime Stoppers. The program is run by volunteers and not the police, so ask your school staff to join the student-led board.

Remember -- crime doesn't pay, but Crime Stoppers does.
