Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - Police arrested 24-year old Courtney Hayden for the Wednesday night shooting that left a 33-year old man dead at an apartment in the 2200 block of Capitan Drive.

It was just before 10 p.m. when officers responding to a complaint of a shooting at the apartment found Hayden along with the victim, who was identified by police Thursday as 33-year old Anthony Cane Macias. Police said Macias was suffering from obvious gunshot wounds, and was rushed to the hospital, where he died from his injuries a short time later.

Officers discovered that two other people had been at the apartment at the time of the shooting, but fled in a vehicle before police arrived. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and the two people who were there during the incident and took them in for questioning.

Hayden was later arrested for murder and taken to the City Detention Center.
