Stretch of Williams Drive Closing as Contractors Conduct Utility Work

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - Starting Thursday, Williams Drive between Thames and Woodlawn will be closed to traffic as contractors conduct utility work as part of the Williams Drive City Improvement Project. The work is expected to last a week.

Eastbound traffic on Williams Drive will be diverted to northbound Woodlawn, and then onto eastbound SPID. Drivers will then be diverted south on Nile back toward Williams Drive.

Westbound traffic on Williams Drive will be diverted south on Thames Drive, westbound on Hardwick Drive and then south on Woodbend Drive to Holly Road.

Drivers are encouraged to pay close attention to traffic control devices and signs while traveling in that area, and if at all possible, avoid the area altogether. Access to local driveways will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.
