Benefit Held for Family who Lost Everything in a House Fire

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -      A fundraiser is helping a family who lost everything but the clothing they were wearing during a house fire last weekend.  It was exactly a week ago that Elizabeth Riley and her three daughters lost their home and everything inside when their house caught on fire.  The flames demolished everything leaving the family homeless.  Saturday, they were outside of Shoe Carnival selling barbecue plates to help raise money to find a new place to call home.
The family says they appreciate everything they have gotten so far but have nowhere to store the clothing they've received since they don't have a place to call home yet.
Elizabeth Riley said, "God bless everyone who has helped. Thank you very much, really you don't know. People have come by, called my brother, left donations. Everyone has just been so generous, I'm just so thankful. I appreciate everyone."
If you weren't able to make it out Saturday to help out the Riley family, you can contact the Bank of America on Alameda and Doddridge and donate under the name, Elizabeth Riley.
