CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - A pair of suspected burglars were caught in the act over the weekend. Police say a man witnessed two people stealing items from his brothers home along the 1200 block of Lantana Street at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

The witness told police he saw 39-year old Roger Crossland and 39-year old Kimberly Chism loading his brother's property into a white sport utility vehicle and an attached trailer. He called police, but before they could arrive, the suspects took off.

The witness followed the suspects at a safe distance and provided updates to police.

The vehicle stopped along the 1000 block of Manchester Avenue. That's where police caught up with Crossland and Chism. Both were allegedly in possession of stolen property and were arrested for burglary of a habitation.
