U.S. Coast Guard Crews Rescue Man in Need of Medical Attention

PORT ARANSAS (Kiii News) - U.S. Coast Guard crews jumped into action Thursday afternoon when they received a distress call from a fishing boat captain.

The captain of the boat, which was located about 57 miles off the shores of Port Aransas, reported that a 26-year old man was suffering from head pains and needed medical attention.

Coast Guard crews located the boat and hoisted the man onboard their rescue helicopter. He was later taken to Bay Area Medical Center via ambulance.
