Water Street Market To Hold Summer Fest This Weekend

A music walk of fame, surf culture, art and live music will all be part of Water Street Market's Summer Fest this Friday and Saturday.

The live music will kick off today at 6:30 p.m. with Barbara Clawson and Tish Hinojosa at 7 p.m. in the Water Street Market Courtyard.

The Lenses of Aloha exhibit by Jon Steele and G. Scott will be on display starting tonight at 6 p.m. at the Texas Surf Museum, which is officially becoming a non-profit this weekend.

A ribbon cutting for the six inductees into the South Texas Walk of Fame will take place at 12 p.m. with a ribbon cutting. This year's inductees include Barbara Clawson, Tish Hinojosa, The Krayolas, Joe King Carrasco, Allen Wayne Damron and Florence "Bu" Pleasant.

A tribute to Florence "Bu" Pleasant and Allen Wayne Damron will take place Saturday at 1 p.m. A concert with The Krayolas and Joe King Carrasco at the Executive Surf Club for $10.
