City Seeks Volunteers to Stencil Street Drains at Doddridge Park

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - The City of Corpus Christi is looking for volunteers to help put stencils on street drains that empty into the Corpus Christi Bay Saturday.

The Surfrider Foundation is helping to sponsor the effort, which will get underway at about 9 a.m. at Doddridge Park. Volunteers will be covering an area of the city bordered by Doddridge, Alameda and Robert Streets.

City environmental engineers say residents near Ocean Drive have a big responsibility.

All you have to do if you want to help is show up, and beverages and breakfast tacos will be handed out to volunteers. Organizers say you should arrive at the park by 8:30 a.m. and expect to finish by noon.
