The June 14, 2014 event, to be held at the Art Museum of South Texas (AMST) and the Water Gardens, celebrates provocative, contemporary art at its BOLDEST and explores a variety of artistic expression from the creative designs of local car and lowrider clubs to the whimsical and unusual kinetic sculptures on display in AMST’s Metal in Motion II: Mark “Scrapdaddy” Bradford exhibition.  Planned by Committee Chairs Pamela O’Connor, Lillian Riojas and Honorary Committee Chair Trey McCampbell, the net proceeds of the Artrageous 3 will be used to support the Art Museum of South Texas’s exhibition and education programs as well as outreach into the community.

Tickets are now available for the $75 for AMST members and $115 for non-members and are on sale now.  To purchase tickets or for more information call 361-825-3500.

The event begins with an Artrageous CAR SHOW and AEP Texas Children’s Art Area at the Water Gardens and on the Lawn in front of the Art Museum from 11am- 3pm, Free to the public car show featuring Concept Cars, Classic, Custom, Muscle, Low Riders, and Art Cars.  Food trucks and refreshments will be available.  There will be a GIANT boom box on site for attendees of all ages to paint.  The end result will be a uniquely Artrageous group art project.

Live exhibit by Mark “Scrapdaddy” Bradford will be on site for a one-of-a-kind art performance.  You will have to attend in order to know what this Artrageous artist has planned!

Texas A&M University Student Art Contest, see artwork created by TAMU-CC students made using recycled products.  Vote for your Fan Favorite at the party.  A juried winner and a Fan Favorite winner will be announced at the evening event.  The juried winner will receive a $1000 scholarship and the Fan Favorite will receive a $500 scholarship for TAMUCC.  Both pieces will be auctioned off at the evening ticketed event.
