Five More Organizations to Be Helped by Annual Day of Giving Campaign

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - The Coastal Bend Community Foundation, which helps local non-profits raise money, has added five more organizations to their list.

The list of 35 non-profits will be helped out financially later in November by the Foundation via its Day of Giving campaign, where every dollar you donate will be matched. It's a chance for you to improve the lives of South Texans.

Last year, the fundraiser brought in just over $1.2 million.

Below is a list of the organizations being helped by the Coastal Bend Community Foundation:

    29-year old Tanya Ramirez, the former King High School teacher accused of having sex with a male student, turner herself into authorities Tuesday morning. She was booked and charged with improper relationship between an educator and a student, a felony charge.Ramirez was accused of having a relationship in the spring semester of this year.
