Police Looking for Man Accused of Stealing AC Unit from Store

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - Corpus Christi police are hoping you can help them identify a man accused of stealing an air conditioning unit from a store in the 3800 block of U.S. Highway 77 on Thursday, June 5.

Employees called the police to report the theft of an air conditioning unit valued at $500. They also provided police with surveillance footage showing the suspect walking out of the store with the AC unit in a shopping cart. Loss prevention employees confronted the suspect outside of the store, but he ran away and left the stolen merchandise behind.

The suspect is described as a 20-year old male with light skin, standing about six feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He wore a tan cap, striped shirt and khaki pants.
