Last Day to Donate to Local Charity Collecting for Rio Grande Valley

 Border towns are seeing an increase of illegal immigrants, and cities are scrambling to find a place to house them. It is a follow up story to one we first brought you on three news this week. Our Rudy Trevino traveled down to Mcallen and visited one of those immigrant refugee camps filled with mom and their children last week. The Mother Teresa Shelter is accepting donations for families in need. Stop by the shelter today to make donations. It is located on the 500 Blk of Sam Ranking Dr.  They are asking for items like non perishable foods and clothing for women and children of all ages.


Sunday, June 22 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Supply List for Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley.

Donations are being received at Mother Teresa Shelter, Inc. Multi-purpose Building 

located at 513 Sam Rankin Ave., Corpus Christi


· Bottled Water

· Non- perishable food items, i.e., can soups, beans, tuna, etc.

· Travel snacks (granola bars, crackers, dry fruits, etc.)

· Baby diapers ALL sizes

· Baby wipes

· Children's milk (specially Leche Nido)

· Children over the counter medications like Tylenol, Advil, etc.

· Pillows, light blankets, backpacks, duffle bags (with zipper)

· Hygiene f children underwear (male and female) and socks

· New women undergarmentsproducts, i.e., shampoo, soap, deodorant, towels, toothpaste, toothbrush

· 50 gallon plastic bags
