Man Pleads Guilty to Robbing Three Banks in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - A man arrested for three separate bank robberies that occurred here in the Corpus Christi area earlier this year plead guilty to those crimes on Tuesday.

Robert Perez, Jr., 35, plead guilty before U.S. Magistrate Judge B. Janice Ellington in federal court. Perez confessed to robbing a Kleberg Bank back in January, as well as two different IBC banks in April and May.

Perez now awaits sentencing. He could face up to 20 years in federal prison.
