Driver Crashes Into Pole, Causes Power Outage in Area

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - About 100 American Electric Power Texas customers were left in the dark at around 1:30 p.m. Monday when a vehicle crashed into a power pole at Prescott and Loritte, near Crosstown and Horne.

Police said the 32-year old driver became distracted while driving, causing her to veer off the road and strike the power pole. Fortunately, she was okay.

AEP Texas crews were called out to the scene to make repairs to the pole.
