Minor Accident Causes Pregnant Woman's Water to Break

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - A Corpus Christi police officer said he was worried he would have to deliver a baby just after 1 p.m. Tuesday when he was called to an accident at Cimarron and Wooldridge involving a man and his pregnant wife.

According to police, a man was driving with his wife, who is seven-months pregnant, was approaching the traffic light at Cimarron and Wooldridge when an ambulance was coming down Wooldridge. The vehicles in front of the driver came to stop, but he did not. He rear-ended one vehicle, causing it to roll forward and hit another vehicle.

The accident caused the pregnant woman's water to break. She was transported to Bay Area Medical Center.
