CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -      We have an update on a story we first brought you on 3News yesterday.
Roxie - the therapy dog - who went missing Friday night has been found!
Roxie went missing from her home located near Flour Bluff High School when she was startled by the sound of fireworks.
Her owner, Christine Martin called 3News and asked for our help in finding the dog she rescued about seven years ago from a no-kill shelter.
Roxie is now safe at home tonight.  She was found about 2 miles away from where she went missing.
Roxie participates in the "Love on a Leash" therapy program which aims at encouraging students to read out loud.
Now Roxie wasn't the only lost  dog or dog that ran away after being scared by fireworks over the weekend.
We got a lot of calls and messages from many of you out there.  Tonight one local group is trying to help out pet owners reunite with their missing loved ones.
The rescue group, For the Love of Strays is asking pet owners to make sure that your dog has current tags.
If you micro-chip your dog or cat, they say chances of re-uniting with them are greater.
For the Love of Strays will be at Sutherlands on Monday for a micro-chip clinic from 11 AM to 3 PM.
     The cost is $25 dollars.
