CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - The condition of three children involved in a serious accident at around 4 a.m. Saturday on the Crosstown Expressway has seen some improvement.

Police say the seven-year old boy and his six-year old sister, who were both hospitalized in critical condition after the accident, are now out of the intensive care unit and listed in serious condition. A 10-month old who was also injured in the accident has been released from the hospital.

Investigators say 31-year old Kimberly Gonzalez and 30-year old Daniel Rivera were both under the influence of alcohol and arguing while driving with the kids on the Crosstown Expressway. Rivera allegedly grabbed and jerked the steering wheel, causing their vehicle to roll off of the Expressway.

Both face several charges, including intoxication assault and endangering a child.
