Aransas Pass Police Seek Woman Suspected of Stealing Cell Phone

Posted: Updated:
ARANSAS PASS (Kiii News) - Police are trying to identify a woman who, along with her children, allegedly stole a cell phone left behind at the Walmart in Aransas Pass back on June 27.

According to police, the male victim had checked out at the Walmart register and left without realizing that he had left his phone at the counter. Surveillance footage shows Walmart staff collecting the phone and taking it to customer service.

Police say the woman in the video saw this happen, and along with her children, went to the counter and said they had left the phone behind, retrieving it from Walmart staff and leaving the store. A short time later, the victim returned and discovered his phone had been stolen.

If you can identify the woman in the video, or a male subject who was waiting for the woman and her kids outside of the store, please call the Tri-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-245-8477.
