Posted: Updated:
ROBSTOWN (Kiii News) - The Robstown Police Department is asking the public to assist them in their search for a man who they say tried to abduct a 16-year old girl at around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Ligustrum.

According to police, the teen was walking back to her home alone when a man in his 40s driving a brown or gold four-door car approached her and asked if she needed a ride. She declined, but the man got out of the vehicle and attempted to grab her.

Thankfully, the teen was able to break free and run home.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male who stands about five-foot four. He has a mustache and black medium-length hair. The suspect also had a small tattoo of a four-sided diamond with the letter G inside of it near his forearm. The diamond was inked in black, and the G was the color of his skin tone.

If you have any information that can help police catch the suspect, please call the Robstown Police Department at 361-387-3531.
