Four Illegal Immigrants Detained, 12 Get Away in Duval County Bailout

DUVAL COUNTY (Kiii News) - Four illegal immigrants from El Salvador and Honduras were apprehended after a bailout on County Road 417 near Jim Wells County at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to the Duval County Sheriff's Office, a traffic stop was attempted on a white Ford F-250 but the vehicle drove off at a high rate of speed heading eastbound on County Road 238 in Duval County. The vehicle turned onto FM 1538, and finally came to a stop at County Road 417 near Jim Wells County.

A total of 16 illegal immigrants were in a white Ford F-250, 12 of which bailed out of the vehicle and got away in the brush. Only four were apprehended by the Duval County Sheriff's Office.
