CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - U.S. Marshals were led on a brief chase at around 11 a.m. Thursday after trying to pull over a sport utility vehicle to execute a warrant for a wanted man. The chase ended in the 500 block of Ronson, where the SUV plowed into the front yard of a home and one suspect fled on foot.

The chase began in the 5000 block of Alameda, when U.S. Marshals saw 36-year old John Houston driving a white SUV with a white trailer in tow. When they gave chase, Houston drove the SUV into a yard.

Houston was arrested at the scene, but his passenger fled on foot. At least a dozen Corpus Christi police responded to the call for assistance, but the passenger got away.

That suspect is described a white male wearing a grey shirt and plaid shorts.

Police say the trailer being hauled by the SUV the suspects were driving contained some items that they suspect could be stolen.
