Military Matters: Local Veteran Helps Disabled Vets Design and Decorate their Prosthetics

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -       For our veterans who have lost limbs, adjusting to a prosthetic device can be difficult.
One local veteran is trying to help out those in need by offering to decorate their prosthetics for free.
In this week's military matters, Brian Burns shows us how one man is turning his part time job into a way to help disabled vets.
Javier Avila owns a company in Corpus Christi called Lone Star Concepts and Design, a hydro graphics printing shop.  It's a company that can cover a surface with a pre-designed film made of dried ink that will harden to the quality of automotive paint.
Javier has set up a Go Fund Me web account tied to his Facebook page.
He's looking for donations to help offset the costs of helping veterans.
You can check out Javier's Facebook page which is titled, Lone Star Graphics and Design which has a link to the go fund me page if you'd like to help.
