Man Dies Following Shooting on Easley St, Search Continues for Suspect

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -  We have an update from Friday nights shooting that happened at Easley St. and Carver Dr. According to CCPD the male victim from last nights shooting died due to his injuries today. The suspect 26- year-old Jesus Ruben Balli Garcia is still on the loose and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

     CCPD confirms that one of the victim's from Friday night's double shooting, a man in his 30's, has died from his injuries.
     The alleged gunman is still on the run.
     The shooting happened around 8:30 last night on the 2900 block of Easley near Carver.
     When police arrived, they found a woman in her 20's and a man with gunshot wounds.  The suspect took off.
     Police received information that the suspect was driving down FM 665 at speeds higher than 100 miles an hour.
     he then turned on highway 77 heading south.
     the suspect leading police on a chase that stretched all the way down, 15 miles past the Sarita check point.
     Its where the alleged shooter pulled over and then took off on foot.
     Several agencies were involved in the search.
     It was during our interview with police when they got a lead on the suspect's whereabouts and took off.
     The suspect has been identified as 26 year old Jesus Ruben Balli Garcia
     They are still actively looking for the suspect tonight.
     The woman who was shot is in stable condition.
