Unity by the Sea Church which for years has been holding services and classes in an leased building opposite HEB at 3100 Alemeda (see photo of crowded old sancturary (last service there this Sunday) has purchased a new church at 901 Brawner Parkwayand will have its first service there May 4 (see attachedphoto of new sanctury and exterior). Members did the first part of their moving by carying small things during a 2,200 step Walkathon this Saturday, April 19 (in conjunction with Earth Day).Walkers had pledges that earned over $3000 for the new church's renovation fund. (still pics are available). Walkers got t-shirts that said "Unity by the Sea Walkathon" and a reenactment of walk with people in tshirts can be arranged. Call Maury M.
