Now follow these simple steps to post your content:

1. On the Submit a story page, your first step is to submit your content. You can add one video and/or up to three photos in a single submission.

If you have a video:

• Click “Browse”
• Locate your video clip on your hard drive and press “Open”
• Click “Attach Video.” You must select “Attach” or the clip will not upload.

If you have photos:

• Click “Browse”
• Locate your photo on your hard drive and press “Open”
• Add a short caption for each photo

2.Once your video or photos are attached:

• Write a headline. The headline is the first thing anyone reads. Make it compelling!
• Write your story. Be as detailed as possible. Answer questions like who, what, when, where, why and how. Remember that readers may not be as familiar with the story as you are.
• Select a channel that would best describe your story. Choosing the most appropriate channel helps others find your story.
• You can also add a tag to make your story more searchable, as well as a location of where the story occurred underneath the “Additional Info” tab
• When you have filled out all of the fields, click “Submit Story”

3. Multiple submissions will require you to re-login.

Once your submission is reviewed by YouNewsTVTM moderators (no violent, obscene, graphic or copyrighted material please), it will be posted to the website. It may take up to several hours for your video or photo to appear, so please check back.

What happens if my submission isn't approved?

You will receive an email if your submission failed to upload or was not cleared for posting.

What does it mean to "flag" something on YouNews?

Even if the administrator approves your photo or video, other users on YouNews may flag it for questionable content. If we remove your video or photo after reviewing it, you can assume that we removed it purposefully in accordance with our Terms of Use.
